It’s well known that contrarian investor, Cathie Wood, has been a long-time advocate and investor in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. For those that haven’t seen it, she has a base case, $1 Million dollar price prediction for Bitcoin by 2030. However, when she saw Balaji sree-nee-vaa-saan’s prediction for a $1 million dollar Bitcoin price in the next 90 days, even she was shocked.
In the latest interview by ARK invest, Kathy joined Balaji in their thoughts on Bitcoin and their optimism for the digital asset. Interestingly, Cathy and Balaji actually have completely opposing viewpoints, but arrive at the same inevitable outcome. Cathy and ARK invest believe that DEFLATION and counterparty risk is going to play out over the course of 2023, which will both accrue to Bitcoin’s benefit. She points out that Bitcoin acts as an insurance policy and a flight to safety against confiscation of wealth, which has been demonstrated time and time again over the last 2 years.
On the other hand, Balaji believes that Bitcoin will reach $1 million dollars, due to inevitable hyperinflation caused by a loss of faith in the traditional banking system. This loss of faith has historically led to the hyperinflation of every fiat currency in the history of earth. He argues that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies offer a solution to the weaknesses of the traditional financial system.Overall, no matter which extreme you take and whichever way you decide to slice the pie, the outcome is the same. Bitcoin becoming more valuable and the price going upwards.
