Cathie Wood believes that at a minimum, bitcoin will hit a market cap equal to the monetary base, which is at $6 trillion dollars, which would 12x the price of Bitcoin to $320,000 dollars per coin.
Contrarian Investor and ARK invest CEO Cathie Wood was one of the first institutional investors that discovered and saw the potential of Bitcoin - buying up huge amounts of the digital asset when it was just $250 dollars per coin. Back in 2015, Cathie’s ARK invest became the first public fund manager to invest in Bitcoin and later went on to also invest into Ethereum, spotting the opportunity long before many others.
Since then, Cathie has gone on to become one of the most influential and successful investors of our generation however she still calls her best investment Bitcoin.
A big reason Cathie and her firm initially saw the potential in Bitcoin was her discourse with renowned, award winning economist Art Laffer, who has been said to of revolutionised the world with his economic theories. Cathie was mentored by Laffer, and sent him the initial analysis on Bitcoin, in which he also saw the enormous opportunity Bitcoin could become.
Together, they hypothesised, that Bitcoin could not only grow to become the size of the monetary base at a $6 trillion dollar market cap, but Cathie now believes it could go on to become with $1.2 Million dollars per coin by 2030. IN her latest in the know update, Cathie brought on Laffer, to discuss the recent banking crisis and why they both have so much conviction when it comes to Bitcoin & crypto.
