ArcheWorld is a MMORPG that incorporates blockchain technologies and is based on globally-acclaimed “ArcheAge.” ArcheAge is a seamless, open-world, sandbox MMORPG that was first launched in Korea in 2013 and now serviced in North America, Europe, Japan, Russia, Korea, China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. ArcheWorld intends to fully utilize ArcheAge’s commendable features and fundamentally renovate the fundamental problem of virtual asset ownership with blockchain technologies, thus offering the users a new experience.
We anticipate that ArcheWorld enables users to directly participate in gameplay and actual economic activities as well.
The Lore
The inhabitants of ArcheWorld are descendants of those who migrated from Auroria. Auroria on the brink of collapse, they had no choice but to move to this new continents of ArcheWorld.
Long ago, the so-called Library Expedition returned from the Garden carrying ‘throne’ and ‘ability’, with the power of the Garden flowing out of the open gate which made the world ever more fruitful. Those Expedition members who took the throne became Gods and initiated a war - the world was on its way to collapse. The ever benevolent Goddess of Nui sacrificed herself to move the people to the new continent and although they were spared from destruction, people lost their memories as a side effect of passing through hell.
People who used to be arch-enemies in Auroria have now become friends, and they worked together to cultivate the new land - the beginning of the history of the new continents.
Protected Area, New Continents
People settled in the new continents with a new ruling system and faction. The new continents consist of the Nuia Continent, the starting zones of Nuian, Elves and Dwarves and the Haranya Continent, the starting zones of Harani, Firran and Warborns. Users begin their journey from a controlled, small village. This is where users are able to learn basic functions and information necessary to adapt to ArcheWorld.
As users progress, they will face the story of the modern era surrounding the users as well as the forgotten stories of Auroria, and confront the threatening creatures in existence.
Skillsets and Skills
Users will begin their journey with one selected skillset. As they progress, they will unlock more skillsets. ArcheWorld offers a total of 14 skillsets, from which users can select three to create one of 364 possible classes. One skillset offers various skills that users can choose to learn. Combat patterns will differ depending on the chosen skills. The game challenges users to try different classes and skillsets, making the game experience even richer.
Character Progression
Characters can be progressed through gaining experience points(XP). XPs can be earned by different activities such as hunting monsters, completing quests and consuming labor. Character levels directly affect combat levels, main attributes of ArcheWorld, and also unlock level restrictions to learn new skills and abilities
Gear Progression
Gear items for characters of ArcheWorld adopt a progression-centric system, rather than an enchant/destruct system. Same as character progression through XP, gear items will gain XP via ‘item progression’ and become better. Item progression requires the base(gear item), materials(XP) and fee(Archeum), with higher-tier gear requiring more materials. Gear items that reach a certain level can be upgraded to the next tier by awakening. Higher-tier awakenings require more cost, however, the difference in performance will be significant.
